How to become a member of I.F.P.V.P.

Becoming a member and setting up an I.F.P.V.P. account on our website is simple and will only take a few minutes. Click on the applicable registration button, complete the registration form, upload your child’s photo, submit/upload a Highlight Video of your child; do you have a Highlight Video of your child’s game footage that highlights his/her talent and skill?

Do you have a skills video,which, unlike a highlight video, includes a series of staged football-specific actions outside a game setting, demonstrating the child’s technical abilities doing drills, ball tricks, keep-ups etc.?

Compile the above video clips of game footage and technical abilities in one video, for submission to I.F.P.V.P. when registering.

If you don’t have a video as outlined above, now is the time to prepare one.

Your video must not be more than 6 minutes and less than 4 minutes.

After you register and upload your child’s video, the video will be assessed by I.F.P.V.P. to make sure it meets the requirements for acceptance, before being placed on our YouTube channel for public viewing throughout the world and to compete for a prize.

YouTube is the ideal platform to showcase young talent to the world.

“You must be in it to win it.”

Your video must be of good quality and impressive, so it’s acceptable for the world to view. We don’t want to reject any videos.

Videos can be captured and produced with a Mobile Phone Camera but must be of good quality. No fuzzy, grainy, poorly-shot footage please.

A mobile Phone Camera won’t match the capabilities of a high-end camera, so if you have a high-end camera, please use it. However, it is recommended that you get someone with experience producing this type of video to shoot your video if possible. Hopefully, you won’t have to pay for it otherwise, do it yourself. If you can pay for it and would like to do, please proceed.

Creating a soccer highlights video requires technical skills and an eye for editing.

Provide detailed information along with your video. The first frame of the video should include your child’s name, age, date of birth, jersey number, position if applicable, playing history and achievements. You can also add sport-specific measurements such as height, weight, etc.

I.F.P.V.P. wants to see how children respond in a game, so we would like to see game footage. We want to see how children see the field, their decision- making and skills.

I.F.P.V.P. wants to see a simple highlight video that gets to the point however, it would be to your child’s advantage to make a “cool” video with catchy music that will get views on YouTube. Just don’t lose track of the purpose.

While there is definitely a skill to putting together clips for a highlight video, below are a few things to keep in mind.

Preparing an impressive video and obtaining video footage requires the following:

Find the right angle to shoot the video

Finding the right angle and keeping the camera steady are the two most important things you can do. Here are some pointers on how to get the best shots:

• In order to get the best perspective, the video should be shot from a higher vantage point, at least several feet from the ground.
• A tripod is highly recommended to help stabilize the footage. Tripods are available for tablets and smartphones.
• When shooting video with a phone or tablet, shoot the footage in landscape format.
• Do not zoom in and out. Zooming in a little is OK when filming from the other side of the field.
• Don’t lose track of the ball.
• The wider the angle, the better. A wider view allows coaches to see the progression of each play, as well as the child making the right choices and completing their passes. I.F.P.V.P. would also need to see as much of the field as possible, so we can tell how the child moved within the context of the play, not just what they are doing individually.
• Imagine the field separated into thirds (offensive, middle, defensive). When the ball is in one of the thirds, film that entire section.
• Show enough of the field so that I.F.P.V.P. coaches are able to see the player’s vision, how the player runs with and without the ball, the player’s use of space, combinations with teammates, etc.
• I.F.P.V.P. coaches also want to see foot skills and technical abilities, so do not lose focus on the primary player being recorded.
• Showcase the child’s best clips first. Don’t save the best stuff for last. Put it up front, starting out strong to capture the attention of the viewing coaches.
• First Impressions — within the first 30 seconds to a minute, I.F.P.V.P’S coaches can decide what they think of the player hopefully, they will be impressed right away. Not being impressed right away, will not disqualify a child.

So pick opening plays or skills that shows how talented your child is, that will leave an impression. Put the most impressive clips in the first 2-3 minutes of the video.

Once the footage is shot, the next step is to edit it down to the best 4-6 minutes, which includes 8–10 game clips for field players making plays. If you would like to have a professional edit your video for you, you can search FIVERR on the web for video editing. From there, make sure to add in other key skills that you believe I.F.P.V.P. coaches may want to see. The goal is to get the coaches hooked in the first 30 seconds, so they continue watching the video to see the depth of the child’s skill-set and ability.

Remember that every touch and play doesn’t have to be perfect because it is understood that mistakes will be made and our coaches are also interested in how players adjust to imperfect situations. However, don’t deliberately include clips with mistakes in your video.

Emphasize only on your child’s three best qualities in your video.

• This will give you structure and a foundation for your video. Make your video position-specific and in sections. For instance, a forward could do a section on scoring goals, making assists, and movement off the ball. A goalkeeper could do a section for saves, one for distribution, and another on goal kicks.
• Show 3 seconds before and after the “moment”. If you are showing an assist, include footage 3 seconds before and 3 seconds after the assist to show the entire play.
• Always identify your child in every clip. It’s very difficult to read jersey #’s on videos so that makes it hard for a coach to identify who the player is. It’s imperative to have an arrow, light, or circle, something to indicate who the coach should be watching at the start of every clip in the video.
• You can include intro music or special editing effects in your video and a 5-10 second intro of your child talking/introducing the video. This puts a face/personality to the player, that’s a nice personal touch.

Just make sure the music is tasteful and try to stay middle of the road on this one.

Here are some other tips for making a top-notch video:

It is recommended goalkeepers produce a video with a combination of match footage and skills footage.

• Skills footage and match footage; highlight skills that weren’t shown in match footage
• Shot stopping
• Extension and collapse diving to both sides, preferably in a variety of situations
• Collecting, parrying and boxing/punching
• Breakaways, angle play and sliding saves
• Distribution: back passes, punts, drop kicks, throws, rolls
• Punting: follow the ball when filming to see the distance
• Goal kicks
• Showing footwork throughout the video

Outfield Players

• Vary the skills you showcase. Your video should not only highlight one skill that may be impressive. If your whole highlight video only shows one skill, you’re not showing that you’re developing as a well-rounded player. Include footage of other important aspects of the game such as playing defense or attack.
• Include footage from before and after the play. The coaches aren’t just interested in the execution; they want to see how you react during gameplay.
• Make sure the quality of the video is high. You might have taken an amazing shot at goal, but if the camera is shaking, and you’re out of focus, you’re more likely to be looked over. Coaches are making split- second decisions when they watch highlight videos. Don’t give them any reason to stop watching.

You can submit more than one video if you believe your performance has improved after submitting your first/last video and would like to give a showing of your improved game and ability. Just register again and submit another video for the process.

Videos can be upgraded every six months to a year, especially if you were continuously and diligently training/working on your improvement and believe you have improved. However, you may upgrade as you see fit.

It would be a good idea to have your child’s club coach review his/her highlight video before you submit it, to ensure it is accurately depicting your child as a player.

Finally, the intention of a highlight video is to pique interest from the I.F.P.V.P. coaches, resulting in their consideration to qualify your child for a prize.

GUIDELINES:

All registered players must go on I.F.P.V.P’S YouTube channel to see if their video was accepted. If accepted, view, like, share, subscribe and click on the notification bell. Follow this process for as many videos as possible, and on a regular basis. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO DO SO FOR YOUR SUCCESS AND THE SUCCESS OF OUR CHANNEL.

Help each other to help yourself. THIS IS MANDATORY!

Ask and encourage friends, family, schoolmates, teammates, your coach and neighbors to go on I.F.P.V.P’S YouTube channel to view your video/s and view as many videos as they can, on a regular basis. Like, share, subscribe and click on the notification bell on all videos viewed. This is necessary for your success. You can also ask them to encourage their friends and family to do the same for you, and spread the word.

Membership is a four-tier process, the first step/tier is to register and submit a video, at no cost, thereby completing the preliminary round.

After you register and upload your video, it will be assessed by I.F.P.V.P. to make sure it meets the requirements for acceptance, before being sent to the Quarterfinal Round and placed on our YouTube channel for public viewing throughout the world.

All videos on our YouTube channel must amass a minimum of 1000 Views and 1000 Likes to move into the Semifinal Round.

You will benefit from the ultimate opportunity to be seen by Professional Clubs’ Academy Coaches, High Performance Academy Coaches, U.S. Colleges/Universities Coaches for scholarship opportunities in the not too distant future and all other interested coaches.

Videos accepted into the Semifinal Round will be evaluated in sets of fifty from every five hundred, boys separate from girls/50 boys and 50 girls.

Your talent, ability, work rate and attire will be evaluated and graded by I.F.P.V.P. using a points system.

Points System: Talent: 30 points, Ability: 30 points, Work Rate: 30 points and Attire: 10 points

The best player from each fifty boys and fifty girls (boys will be evaluated separately from girls) who has the highest score of over 80 points, (100 being the maximum) will ascend to the Final Round OR Winners’ Pool for final evaluation. Each pool will consist of ten players only.

The winner of each pool (the player with the most points, 100 being the maximum) will receive the Golden Ball Award/paid for participation in a two weeks football/soccer camp in one of the most prestigious summer camps in the world, located in one of the following countries: Spain, United Kingdom, Italy, France or in the United States, airfare included. However, a parent must accompany their child to the camp and will be responsible for his or her own expenses; airfare, accommodation, meals, internal travel etc.

Where a visa is necessary, this will be the responsibility of the parent.

OTHER INCENTIVES:

1.I.F.P.V.P. ONGOING ASSESSMENT AND RANDOM DRAW

Assessment of videos on our YouTube Channel will be ongoing from which, videos will be selected and placed into a pool for a random draw. This random draw will be conducted periodically from the selected videos in the pool, and one boy and one girl will be chosen from this pool to receive paid for participation in a one week, overnight training program at a prestigious summer camp, airfare included. However, a parent must accompany their child to the camp and will be responsible for his or her own expenses; airfare, accommodation, meals, internal travel etc.

Where a visa is necessary, this will be the responsibility of the parent.

NOTICE!

To all parents: our program is geared towards the child and as such, parents will be responsible for defraying their own cost to accompany their child to camp.

In lieu of the above, winners can be enrolled in a camp in their country of residence and in proximity to where they live, eliminating the need for airline travel and other expenses to the parent.

This is your chance to go for glory. It will be difficult but not impossible.

2. I.F.P.V.P. BEST YOUTUBE SUPPORT

One boy and one girl will be selected from those who acquires over one thousand (1000) of the following: Likes, Subscribers, Views, Clicks on the notification bell and Shared over 1000 times (excluding the winner selected from the Final Round OR Winners’ Pool OR ongoing assessment), to receive paid for participation in a prestigious overnight summer camp for one week, airfare included. Only one boy and one girl will be chosen. This will be ongoing! However, a parent must accompany their child to the camp and will be responsible for his or her own expenses; airfare, accommodation, meals, internal travel etc.

Where a visa is necessary, this will be the responsibility of the parent.

NOTICE!

WINNERS CANNOT WIN MORE THAN TWICE WITH THE SAME VIDEO. HOWEVER, YOU CAN SUBMIT A NEW VIDEO HIGHLIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS IN YOUR OVERALL GAME, AND INITIATE THE PROCESS AGAIN.

All prize winners will be contacted by I.F.P.V.P. via the e-mail on their registration form.

All prize winners will be aired on social media using their name, photo and country of residence.

Your information will remain private and confidential. The public will only have access to your video/s, name and country of residence.

The search for a prize winner will continue, after every winner receives his/her prize and after I.F.P.V.P. gets over 100K/100.000 mor e views, subscribers, and likes.
